ACTV Mission Statement Amherst Community Television operates Public, Educational and Government Access television channels serving people who live, work or study in Amherst. It is an organization dedicated to meeting the community’s interests and needs for the arts, education, community events, local government and informational programming through access to communications media, training in the use of those media and the transmission of programs over appropriate technologies. The Public Access channel is based upon the public’s right to freedom of speech. The Public, Educational and Government Access television channels are Amherst's only local television channels.
